teach me.

 sometimes i forget that my children were God's before
they were mine.

they are a gift to be cherished and handled with great care.

 

 if i let them,

they will teach me amazing things.

like unconditional love, confidence, and joy.

 they will teach me to only eat when i'm hungry,

and to sleep when i am tired, but not to sleep too long.

they will teach me to play and to live with energy.

 they will remind me to pray when i can't find something,

and to dance when the music comes on.

 they will make me tired and low on patience,

and then teach me to find energy and patience i didn't know i had.

 they will teach me to enjoy the little things,

and that God is good.

so very good.
