what you would find.

preslee lined up her barbies just so,
thought about playing with them, and then changed her mind.
she's just not that into it.
not like me and my sister were growing up.
we'd play with them all the time,
and sometimes cut their hair really really short.
sorry mom.

if you came over to my house right now here are some things you would find:

*me in a sports bra and christmas pajamas with every intention of exercising before the night ends.
just hoping for a second wind to hit real quick.

*preslee and jonah in their beds sleeping...
but you might not be able to find them through all the
toys/clothes/books i started sorting through today, but didn't finish.

*a little hazey girl trying to fit her whole fist in her mouth.
she fussed nearly all day today.
so that means she is going to sleep really good tonight right?

*a pile of laundry the size of mt. Kilimanjaro.

*a saggy post baby body that looks like your great-grandmas.
um...yeah.

*a sleepy todd who just worked a 30 hour shift
oh wait...did i say sleepy?
i meant to say crazy, cause he's gone playing basketball now.
stud.
crazy stud.

and you know what right now i feel really quite satisfied
 because i'm tired,
which tells me i worked hard today,
and i don't have much to show for it,
but i kept three kids alive and...well alive:)
and now hazel is calling, i mean crying.
so goodbye for now:)

hazey and her buddies isaac and cooper today.

thank you thank you...(yes i'm even tearing)...because at the end of the day and i'm wasted but feel like i have nothing to show for it, i feel like a failure. thank you for reminding that being mom some days just includes keeping them alive to live for another day when we can have fun.
